Live Young was developed by Dr. Maureen Sweeney to provide a clinic offering medical excellence in the new fields of anti-aging and aesthetic medicine. Both offer so much more than what has traditionally been available and recognized in conventional medicine and plastic surgery. The wellness programs of anti-aging promote a future with health and vitality - not inevitable disability, disease and dependence. Aesthetic medicine provides non-surgical treatments which reliably and safely combat the visible signs of aging and treat other dermatological conditions such as acne and rosacea.
The wellness and aesthetic programs offered at Live Young cover the full spectrum of the anti-aging field. This makes it unique as the only clinic in Victoria and on Vancouver Island to offer both. In fact, there are few clinics in Canada which offer this scope of care. The clinic is located in Sidney,a short drive north of Victoria and it is Dr. Sweeney's hope that people will come from all parts of Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands to take advantage of the comprehensive scope of services and products offered at the clinic.

Dr. Maureen Sweeney is board certified in Anti-Aging Medicine through the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. As such, she is the only fully board certified, licensed anti-aging medical doctor in Victoria and one of the few in British Columbia. Dr Sweeney studied medicine at UBC, graduating in 1987. She interned at Gisborne Hospital, Gisborne, New Zealand. She has been in medical practice since 1989 with her own family practice in Victoria, Canada for 13 years. Since 2003, she has been studying and practicing anti-aging medicine. Dr. Sweeney also has six years experience in the new field of aesthetic medicine. She has advanced training for Botox and dermal filler administration and certification in mesotherapy / Lipodissolve and IPL/laser treatments. She is a member of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia, the American Academy of Anti- Aging Medicine and the Canadian Association of Aesthetic Physicians.
